About Our School

Laguna Niguel Jr. Academy has been providing quality Christian education to South Orange County since 1984. We started out as a one-room school at our local church. Today, we have the ability to educate students in a newer school building completed in 2009 as well as a newly renovated playground area (completed in 2020). High standards for safety and classroom organization were implemented, creating an optimal learning environment for our students.

School Mission & Philosophy

LNJA's philosophy is to lead its students to ascertain and accept, in practice and sentiment, the mind and will of God as revealed in His Word. Our unique educational approach is based on the belief of a harmonious development of the physical, mental, social, and spiritual elements within each student. The school seeks to provide a Christ-centered curriculum and program of activities. The school seeks to develop an attitude of service cooperation within each student towards his fellow man. The concept of community is emphasized to develop a well-rounded member of society.

In addition to our academic curriculum, our school offers physical education and music for all grades. We have a strong emphasis on science and the arts, as seen in our STEAM Fridays. Our 6-8 classroom is equipped with laptops for each student, integrating daily computer instruction. Impressive, school-wide project-based fairs occur annually. Students learn hands-on about history, culture, science, art, and the importance of community service through integrated field trips.

Small class sizes foster the teacher and student relationship. Students of all grades intermingle and create relationships. The big brother and sister program bonds the students, and they feel like one big family, unique to many schools. Chapel is given every Wednesday where students learn valuable and applicable life lessons to build a Christ-like character, as well as fostering a relationship with Jesus.

Many graduates go on to study at our distinguished Seventh Day Adventist universities found nation-wide and globally. Fostering high academic achievement, our former students have high acceptance rates to any college or university.
