About Our School
Laguna Niguel Jr. Academy was established in 1984 to provide a Christ-centered education to children in the community. Our school is part of a global school system subsidized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We are a non-profit K-10th grade school located in the lovely beach community of Laguna Niguel, California.
Parents are confident in sending their children to our newer school building completed in 2009. High standards for safety and classroom organization were implemented, creating an optimal learning environment for our students.
Small class sizes foster the teacher and student relationship. Students of all grades intermingle and create relationships. The big brother and sister program bonds the students, and they feel like one big family, unique to many schools.
At LNJA our highly educated and talented teachers believe in developing the whole child. In addition to our academic curriculum, our school offers physical education, choir, band, marimba, and drama instruction for all grades. We have a strong emphasis on science and an impressive new science lab. We offer on-site computer centers in each classroom and integrate computer instruction daily. Enrichment is offered with private piano lessons and private voice instruction. Impressive, school-wide science and social studies fairs are alternated every other year. Students learn hands-on about history, culture, science, art, and the importance of community service through integrated field trips. Junior high and high school students participate in life-changing school trips to destinations such as England, France, Scotland and Washington D.C.
Many graduates go on to study at our distinguished Seventh Day Adventist universities found nation-wide and globally. Fostering high academic achievement, our former students have high acceptance rates to any college or university.
LNJA’s philosophy is to lead its students to ascertain and accept, in practice and sentiment, the mind and will of God, as revealed in His Word. Our unique educational approach is based on the belief of harmonious development of the physical, mental, social and spiritual elements within each student. The school seeks to provide a Christ-centered curriculum and program of activities. We endeavor to develop an attitude of service cooperation within each student towards his fellow man. The concept of community is stressed to develop a well- rounded member of society.
